LauncherPro v0.8.1.0 released
A rather minor update of LauncherPro is now in the Android Market. Here’s what 0.8.1.0 brings:
- Fixed a bug where selecting Monday as the first day of the week on the Calendar Widget would result in wrong days being marked as busy in the widget.
- New: Bookmarks popup. This new dock popup gives you quick access to your bookmarks. Just like the Bookmarks widget, the popup only works with bookmarks stored on the standard bookmark database in your phone, so if your browser of choice doesn’t use this database, you’ll need to export them to the main database (if your browser has that option) or add them manually into the stock browser.

I lover the pop ups! One possible feature you could add is with the phone pop up. When there is no missed calls, it would be sweet if you could click the pop up and have out take you to the phone main screen. I figure that it shouldn’t be too hard to implement because the messaging pop up takes you to write a new message when you click it and have no missed messages. I know your busy writing a whole new code from scratch, so no worries if I don’t see it for a while. You are doing amazing work, and in appreciation I’ve been recommending your launcher to everyone with an android phone that I meet, which is enough to make them go pro instantly. Thanks for your hard work!

I can’t first.d any information regarding this issue, but since the OTA Vibrant update that fixed some minor issues with my Samsung Vibrant, which also added a cute little task killer when you long press the home key. LauncherPro shows up as a task, which after I kill it, it has to re-draw the home screen EVERYTIME. Is there a way to make LauncherPro invisible to this task manager (just like TouchWiz)? If I have TouchWiz as my default home screen, and I longpress the home key, TouchWiz doesn’t show up as a task, so the home screen doesn’t ALWAYS have to re-draw when I click “End All Tasks”. Is there a solution for this?

I have tried using 3 times now and always have problems. When trying to play music says file type is not supported. Works fine after uninstall.

If moved to folders, the icons of app-to-sd apps disappeared and all changed into ugly green ones. Can this problem be fixed?

I bought Pro yesterday, about 26 hours ago. It will not launch on my DROID X. I need help please. I find it in settings, applications, manage programs. It says launch by default, then says no defaults set. I can not find anywhere to set defaults manually. Please help now. Thank you.

Suggestions To Make Launcher Pro Plus EPIC!!!
-180 degree screen orientation
-diff notification bar color*
-3d looking icons in notification bar*
*(I know it’s for rooted phones but it’d be nice w/out root)
-customizable lock screen like iphone or some android phones
(to the point where the mp3 player still works)
I know it’s probably a lot to ask for, but it would be nice if that all could be together to not have to get more third party apps to do that job. Or simply having to root the phone because that’s a bit difficult for unexperienced users like me. If you are able to do them then a million thanks, and btw I love the hero/evo look you’ve put into the widgets… keep it up! You’ve made us users happy so far and I’m sure you will continue to do so.

I am using galaxy s with froyo. I have liked launcher pro since i started using motoroi. However, this time there is a bug with latest version which is that unread sms count doesn’t work. Please check this and fix it. Thank you.

I installed the v0.8.1.0 version and now everytime I restart android, it reverts to v0.7.4.0.

I just got the droid 2 and there’s a lot of apps I want to hide…is the launcher pro a way to that? And how do I do it after downloading? I have no clue what this app is all about or how to use it please help
