LauncherPro 0.7.0.2 released.
The latest version of LauncherPro (v0.7.0.2) is now available on the Android market.
Here’s what’s new:
- A new “Unlock LauncherPro Plus” option on the preferences page. This will let you get future updates to the Plus version through the market. In order to get your unlock code, please go here and enter your Paypal email address. You’ll receive your code via email.
- New option: Highlight color. Now you can choose the color of the icon highlights (when they are pressed/focused). A more precise color picker will come in the future. You can use any color by entering the hexadecimal code. (Preferences > Appearance Settings).
- New option: Stretch 4-row widgets. If you have the 5 icon rows option enabled, you can now choose to stretch 4-row high widgets to use the whole 5 rows instead of leaving an empty row at the bottom. This counts for LauncherPro widgets too.
That’s it for now. LauncherPro Plus users, the Bookmarks widget is coming soon along with some tweaks to the People widget. I wanted to have it finished already but between creating the new unlock key system and replying to the boatload of emails about the Plus version, I haven’t had enough time to finish it.

I love launcher pro and bought the plus version just to support the development of it. The one feature I would really like is the ability to hide the notification bar, but still be able to swipe down and make notifications appear. Thanks for the hard work. It is much appreciated!

Anyone having a problem with it not saving your choice for the home launcher? My evo keeps asking if I want to use launcher pro or sense even when I tell it to remember my choice. Seems like it only happens after I launch an app from the favorites list (hold the home button down).

For some odd reason this is caused by the latest Qik update on the Evo. Uninstall the Qik update and your home should stick.

I like the concept of the Pro version, and am seriously consider buying/supporting that. However, it depends, how good the widgets are going to get.
All HTC widgets have a real problem, that they are:
a) slow
b) wasting much too much space.
While I believe your widgets will be blazingly fast, from the people widget screenshot it also looks like wasting much too much space! The poeple widget just shows 9 full and 3 half persons on a full screen, where one could easily show 16 people if one uses the space better and drops unnecessary UI items (like the People header). Hope you can improve in this regard, so that your widgets are better than the existing ones.

Does launcher pro ONLY works with eclair and above ROMS?? I still use dwang because of the stability. Can someone please tell me how to get this to work.

I have a question. I have the pro plus paid version as well as the free one. How do i set it to default to the plus version instead of the free pro version – or does it do it automatically?
